Job Description

THE ROLE (June 2026 - November 2026)

As the philanthropic arm of the Hong Leong Group, Hong Leong Foundation (HLF or the Foundation) supports initiatives focused on education, community development, and social empowerment.

We are seeking a motivated CSR Intern to join the Foundation during the 2026 scholarship cycle. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate philanthropy, stakeholder coordination, and the implementation of the HLF Merit Scholarship Programme and Scholars Journey initiatives.

THE SCOPE

  • Scholarship Programme Support: Assist with the HLF Merit Scholarship Programme 2026 by managing candidate documentation, maintaining accurate databases, and coordinating interview schedules and applicant communications.
  • Scholar Engagement: Support the Scholars Journey initiatives, including enrichment camps, professional workshops, and networking activities designed for HLF scholars.
  • Programme & Event Coordination: Provide logistical and coordination support for Foundation initiatives held at Jumpstart@65 and external venues, including event preparation and post-event documentation.
  • Operational Support: Maintain programme records, assist with procurement coordination for programme activities, and support monitoring reports from partner organisations.
  • Communications Support: Assist in drafting content for social media updates and documenting programme activities and impact stories.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Canva or basic design tools is preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a professional environment.
