Intern - CSR

The PWD Programme Trainee will support Taylor's Community's community and social-impact programmes through administration, research, documentation, communications and programme coordination.

This is a three-month structured job-training placement initiated by Mereka under the BridgeCareers PWD Apprenticeship Programme, with Taylor's Community serving as the host employer. The trainee will receive a monthly allowance of RM1,000.

The placement provides practical workplace experience and opportunities to develop relevant professional skills. Responsibilities will be assigned according to each trainee's strengths, interests, learning objectives and workplace support needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme Administration, Coordination and Documentation

• Maintain programme trackers, contact lists, action lists and administrative records.
• Support registrations, attendance tracking, schedules and programme follow-ups.
• Assist with programme, workshop and meeting coordination.
• Organise programme updates, meeting notes, participant information and other written records.

2. Research and Information Management

• Conduct basic research on programmes, partner organisations, community services and inclusion-related topics.
• Verify and organise information into summaries, tables, directories or resource lists.
• Identify missing or incomplete information and raise it with the relevant project owner.4. Stakeholder & Beneficiary Management

• Build and maintain positive relationships with beneficiaries, partners, sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned programmes and partnerships.

3. Data Monitoring and Reporting

• Enter and update programme, participant, attendance and stakeholder information.
• Compile feedback and monitoring information relating to programme progress, challenges and support needs.
• Support the identification of key findings, information gaps and recurring issues for reporting.

4. Accessibility and Inclusive Practices

• Test selected documents, forms and digital systems using relevant assistive technology.
• Record accessibility barriers and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
• Support research and guidance relating to inclusive onboarding, workplace accommodations and disability inclusion.

5. Team Participation and Workplace Development

• Attend team meetings, project briefings, training sessions and scheduled check-ins.
• Provide updates on assigned work, communicate support needs and apply feedback received.
• Maintain confidentiality, organise completed work and prepare an appropriate handover at the end of the placement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Selected participant under the BridgeCareers PWD Apprenticeship Programme.
• Completed the required BridgeCareers structured job-readiness training or bootcamp.
• Basic ability to use email, Microsoft Word and online meeting platforms with reasonable accommodations where required.
• Able to communicate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to learn, receive feedback and work across different programme-support areas.
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned work with appropriate guidance.
