Key Responsibilities
The engagement of an intern is proposed to support the implementation and assessment of Pick-Up and Drop-Off at NADI (PUDO@NADI) services nationwide, involving 1,099 NADI locations across Malaysia. The scope of work requires a systematic desktop study, data collection, survey administration, follow-ups, and analysis related to site suitability, service effectiveness, and stakeholder feedback. Due to the large number of locations, this task is resource-intensive and time-consuming, and may impact existing officers core responsibilities if handled internally.
Key duties include:
Desktop Study & Data Collection
- Compile and review data for all 1,099 NADI locations nationwide
- Assess PUDO@NADI site suitability, location, accessibility, and surrounding environment
- Review available demographic and geographic information related to each NADI
Survey Development & Administration
- Assist in designing survey questionnaires for relevant stakeholders (e.g. Technology Providers (TP))
- Distribute surveys and conduct follow-ups to ensure sufficient response rates
- Track survey responses and maintain an updated database
Stakeholder Feedback Analysis
- Analyse TP feedback on the effectiveness and sustainability of PUDO@NADI services
- Identify whether services should be maintained, improved, or discontinued
- Document justifications and recurring issues highlighted by respondents
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare summary findings, tables, and basic visualisations
- Assist in drafting reports, briefs, or internal presentations
- Ensure proper documentation and data organisation for reference
General Support
- Provide administrative and research support related to PUDO@NADI initiatives
- Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the department
Upon completion of the internship, the intern is expected to achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Gain practical exposure to policy implementation and service assessment within a regulatory body
- Develop skills in research methodology, survey design, data collection, and analysis
- Understand the operational landscape of NADI and last-mile service delivery
- Enhance analytical thinking through evaluation of service viability and stakeholder feedback
- Improve professional skills including communication, reporting, coordination, and time management
- Experience real-world application of academic knowledge in a national-level project.
Qualifications/Courses/Studies Background
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems or Data Analytics / Data Science/ Geographic Information Systems (GIS) / Urban & Regional Planning / Business Administration / Management / Economics / Development Studies / Communication / Media Studies / Public Policy / Public Administration / Logistics / Supply Chain Management or in any a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.2/4.0;
- Strong interest in research, data analysis, and field-related studies
- Basic knowledge of survey tools (e.g. Google Forms, Excel)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage large datasets
- Proficient in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia
