Ansell is looking for a Intern, Engineering to join our team in Melaka, Malaysia.

In this position you will play a vital role in support continuous improvement initiatives within a glove manufacturing environment. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, including dipping, curing, inspection, and packaging operations.

Responsibility: -

  • Assist the Engineering team in daily operational and technical activities.
  • Support engineering projects related to process improvement, production efficiency, quality enhancement, and cost optimization.
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering decisions.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, work instructions, reports, and presentations.
  • Support equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and engineering studies as assigned.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance, to support project execution.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Support compliance with safety, quality, and company standards in all engineering activities.
  • Participate in meetings, project reviews, and problem-solving discussions.
  • Perform basic statistical analyses on datasets, including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and basic predictive modeling under the guidance of senior data analysts.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Engineering team.

What you will bring

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in data manipulation tools such as Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey findings and insights effectively.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with data analysis projects or coursework is a plus.
