Ansell is looking for a Intern, Supply Chain to join our team in Melaka, Malaysia.

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the Supply Chain team in daily operations. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across various supply chain functions, including procurement, data management, and supplier coordination. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and the purchasing team to assist in data processing, transforming information into actionable insights, and ensuring smooth workflow and operational efficiency. This internship offers valuable exposure to end-to-end supply chain activities within a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.

Responsibility: -

  • Assist in converting Purchase Requests (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO) accurately within the system.
  • Support in monitoring delivery timelines and following up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Conduct basic supplier sourcing and assist in obtaining quotations for general items.
  • Maintain and update supplier records and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide administrative support, including proper documentation, filing, and maintaining organized records in line with 5S practices.
  • Assist in managing open agreements and procurement documentation for easy tracking and retrieval.
  • Support the team in vendor communication and coordination.
  • Participate in vendor audits and compliance checks where required.
  • Assist in data entry, report preparation, and procurement analysis tasks.
  • Support any ad-hoc assignments or improvement projects within the supply chain function.

What you will bring

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in procurement, supply chain operations, and vendor management.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes and documentation is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
