What would you do
As a QA Intern, you will support the QA Team and Test Lead in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications, systems, and releases throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Execution & Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Management, Solution Architects, Developers, System Integrators (SI), third-party vendors, and Business Users to support testing activities.
- Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across projects, enhancements, BAU requests, and production fixes.
- Assist in preparing test cases, test scenarios, and test data prior to test execution.
- Perform end-to-end testing, including Mobile Applications, Front-End, Back-End, and API testing.
Test Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain daily SIT status reports through email, JIRA, daily huddles, and other reporting channels as required.
- Support the preparation of SIT clearance documentation and sign-off reports.
- Ensure testing evidence and documentation are properly maintained and updated.
UAT Support
- Assist in the preparation of UAT test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Support business users during UAT execution.
- Track testing progress and facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure timely completion of testing activities.
Defect Management
- Log, monitor, and retest defects identified during SIT, UAT, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, and Performance/Load Testing.
- Update defect status and testing progress accurately in JIRA.
- Work closely with development teams to verify fixes and support defect closure.
Smoke & Regression Testing
- Maintain and update smoke test coverage for application releases and production deployments.
- Execute smoke testing to validate release readiness and application stability.
- Raise, track, and retest issues identified during smoke testing activities.
Test Automation Support
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated regression test scripts to support continuous testing initiatives.
- Review and update automated test suites to ensure adequate coverage for new features, enhancements, BAU changes, and production fixes.
- Analyse automation test results, log defects, and support retesting activities.
- Support regression testing through a combination of automated and manual testing approaches where applicable.
Continuous Learning
- Gain hands-on experience in software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, test automation tools, defect management, and Agile delivery practices.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the QA team's quality objectives.
Who should join us
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with software testing concepts, including manual and automated testing.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g, Python, Java, or C#) is a plus
- Experience with testing tools (e.g JIRA) is beneficial
- Understanding of databases and SQL for data validation tasks
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and troubleshoot effectively
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly
- Capable of thinking critically and resolving issues efficiently
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadline
- Willingness to learn new tools and techniques quickly and adapt to change project requirements.
- A genuine interest in software quality assurance and a desire to contribute to high-quality software development
