Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving international business growth and profitability across assigned export markets. You will lead market expansion, manage regulatory coordination, and ensure seamless order fulfilment while building strong relationships with overseas partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Market Growth & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth and profitability across assigned export territories
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including new customers, products, and markets
- Explore contract manufacturing opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Source new products and manufacturing options to expand commercial pipelines
Regulatory & Product Registration
- Lead product registration activities in overseas markets
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and local partners to prepare and submit dossiers
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance across export markets
Order Fulfilment & Operations Coordination
- Manage end-to-end order process from confirmation to delivery
- Coordinate with Planning, Production, QA/QC, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely fulfilment
- Monitor order progress to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key stakeholders
- Act as the main liaison with embassies, inspection bodies, and government agencies (e.g., MITI, MATRADE)
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional handling of enquiries and issues
Product Lifecycle & Change Management
- Coordinate artwork changes, product updates, and regulatory variations
- Work closely with RA, QA, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure alignment across markets
- Communicate product changes effectively to overseas partners
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all export documentation is properly prepared and endorsed (e.g., embassy, inspection agencies)
- Maintain compliance with international trade and pharmaceutical regulations
- Support audit readiness and documentation accuracy
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field
- Professional certifications in international business or regulatory affairs are an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, export, or international business
- Proven experience managing overseas markets and distributor networks
- Strong exposure to regulatory processes and product registration in export markets
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of international pharmaceutical markets and trade flows
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements across different countries
- Experience in export logistics and documentation processes
- Strong commercial acumen and market analysis capability
- Ability to develop and execute sales and market expansion strategies
