Role Description This is a full-time, on-site internship role based in Shah Alam for an AI Coding Intern within the Mampu AI team at Dataverse Sdn Bhd. The intern will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining AI-driven features, including chatbot flows, automation scripts, and integration logic for customer engagement and internal operations. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and documented code, debugging and resolving technical issues, and supporting data preparation and basic model integration under the guidance of senior engineers. The intern will collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical tasks, participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving existing AI tools and workflows. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, AI deployment, and version control in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational programming skills in one or more languages commonly used in AI or backend development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or data processing concepts, with interest in applying them to real-world business use cases.
- Familiarity with software development practices such as version control (e.g., Git), debugging, and writing maintainable code.
- Ability to analyze problems, break them into smaller technical tasks, and propose logical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to learn quickly, accept feedback, and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and workflows.
- Bonus: Experience with APIs, databases, or basic web development, and prior exposure to AI platforms or chatbot frameworks.
