Within the Greater China and Southeast Asia (GCSEA) region, the Commercial Excellence team leads digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes, improve data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making.

The team develops and supports regional digital platforms, including Openings Studio, while continuously exploring innovation in automation, AI, and data-driven solutions across markets.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically curious intern to join our Research & Development (R&D) initiatives within the GCSEA Commercial Excellence team.

This role focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and automation techniques to solve real-world business challenges—ranging from process automation and data standardization to intelligent product querying and recommender systems.

As an intern, you will contribute to prototype development, experimentation, and system improvement efforts, gaining hands-on experience in building scalable digital solutions that support regional operations such as Openings Studio.

What You'll Do

  • Work on real-world projects involving AI, data, and automation, contributing to solutions used in business operations
  • Gain hands-on experience in applying technologies such as machine learning, intelligent search, and basic automation
  • Clean, organize, and analyze datasets to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Support the development of automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI tools, including basic chatbot or search applications
  • Assist in testing and improving system features, gaining exposure to how enterprise platforms operate
  • Collaborate with team members across different functions and regions, contributing to regional initiatives
  • Develop practical technical and problem-solving skills through guided training and project work

What We're Looking For

  • Degree student in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related field
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python preferred)
  • Familiar with Excel or data handling
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
