This internship opportunity is open for April 2026 intake onwards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in audit engagements including pre-audit preparation, audit planning, risk identification, and basic evaluation of clients internal control processes for small, non-complex engagements.
- Assist in performing audit testing procedures in accordance with the Firm's audit methodology.
- Develop a foundational understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant accounting principles through hands-on audit work.
- Complete assigned audit tasks accurately, timely, and to the required quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation or review of basic financial statements and management reports to build understanding of accounting entries and common audit issues, based on learning progress and exposure.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Foundation, or professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and an interest in auditing and assurance work.
- Good analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Willingness to learn, take guidance, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
