Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities.

Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. We are continuing our transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

The aim of this internship is to develop students interest and proficiency in the field of process improvement, productivity improvement, Lean culture, and engagement activities in Finance transactional and analytical environment.

The selected students will have high chance to participate in elementary level Lean and Kaizen skills development programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Support to synthesize existing data and develop suitable reports and visual dashboard for employees Lean experience profile, reports for productivity improvement projects at Finance processes and reports for Global Lean team productivity improvement activities.
  • Support in planning and execute logistics and technical preparation tasks for Lean programme activities like employees engagement events and process problem-solving workshops.
  • Support to coordinate activities focusing on end-to-end process mapping for Finance processes.
  • Develop, design media content (video, interviews) for Lean programme's engagement events and workshops.

Essential Requirements:

  • You should be studying bachelor's degree in business management, Business Analytics, IT or Finance
  • Some experience in planning event, facilitating workshop and curating training and workshop materials.
  • Possess average level of proficiency in using Desktop automation tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Possess good planning and organization skills
  • Preferably able to serve minimum of internship period of 20 weeks or more.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written communication. Able to communicate effectively across levels of employees.
