Role
The Day-To-Day Activities
The role requires the ability to liaison with multiple data the marketing function of a business and then translate that marketing vision to a technology implementation to deliver on business goals.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation
- Verify and validate all data collected from multiple data points.
- Validate the format for each field, detect and remove repeated entries.
- Consistently monitor and identify incomplete entries and handle all missing data
- Identify and solve all anomalies trend and data points.
- Liason with respective stakeholder/divisions to gather requirement and customize dashboards according to the respective business objectives.
- Data Visualisation & Exploration for New Development
- Understand data structure and all key variables cut across multiple digital channels.
- Assist in developing/enhancing interactive dashboard using PowerBi, Looker Studio Plan to support multiple departments.
- Pull and combine data from internal database APIs using SQL / BigQuery to join multiple data sources to visualize business performance.
- Implement, test, manage, monitor and upgrade all data points based on new development / functional specification.
- Report Development & Analysis
- Work on daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Analyze trend, patterns and anomalies datasets and provide business driven insights and solutions.
- Generate actionable insights to support decisions as and when are needed.
- Translate numbers into narratives for business presentations.
- Keep track on key performance indicators cut across different channels and develop alerts / benchmarks based on historical performance.
- Maintain report dictionaries and metadata documentation.
- Follow data governance standards and ensure constant updates and fixes for any missing data in all reports.
About You
- Education/ What people Know:
Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related fields.
- Experience/ What people Have Done:
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools.
- Experience in using PowerBI and Looker Studio.
- Competencies/ What people Can Do:
- Good at handling time-sensitive projects independently and working within tight timeline given
- Able to multi-task, adapt to a fast-paced environment and have good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous - ensuring high accuracy in data interpretation and reporting.
- Personal Attributes/ Who people Are:
- A data enthusiast passionate about numbers and curious to identify / uncovering anomalies and identify trends that can help to drive business solution.
- A consensus builder that can collaborate with cross-functional team.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English or Bahasa Malaysia
