ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a newly created role to support our growing finance.

The Accounts Payable Intern supports the finance team by assisting with day-to-day accounts payable tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. It is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in accounting or finance.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in processing vendor invoices and verifying accuracy against purchase orders where applicable.
  • Enter invoice data into accounting systems
  • Support timely payment of invoices and expense reports
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Perform general administrative duties as required by the finance team
  • Support accurate and timely issuance of e‑invoices in compliance with LHDN requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Previous internship or part-time experience in accounting or finance (a plus, not required)
