Job Description

The MCMC Internship Programme - RISE@MCMC is to attract potential and brightest talents who are up for the challenge in our diverse business functions. The programme will provide opportunities to gain valuable hands-on exposure and experiences which will bring great benefits in charting your professional journey. This program will provide operational and coordination support for key OSHE initiatives, including Permit to Work (PTW), Contractor Management Programme (CMP), workplace inspections, safety documentation, training, and awareness programmes. Interns will also assist in pilot improvement projects, digitalisation, standardisation, data monitoring, and the coordination of OSHE activities across Headquarters, regional, and state offices. This initiative not only strengthens departmental capacity during peak operational periods but also offers students valuable hands-on experience in both administrative and technical OSHE functions within a corporate regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support workplace safety inspections, hazard identification activities, compliance monitoring, and tracking of corrective actions.
  2. Assist in the implementation and improvement of initiatives related to Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management System (OSHEMS).
  3. Support Permit to Work (PTW) and Contractor Management Programme (CMP) coordination, documentation, monitoring, and process improvement activities.
  4. Assist in the preparation, compilation, and maintenance of OSHE documentation, reports, records, and compliance-related information.
  5. Support safety awareness programmes, toolbox meetings, campaigns, communication materials, and training coordination activities.
  6. Assist in compiling safety statistics, observations, findings, and departmental improvement data for reporting and monitoring purposes.
  7. Support departmental operational improvement initiatives, including process standardization, digitalization, and administrative coordination activities. 8. Participate in project-based assignments and general departmental support activities related to OSHE operations and programmes

Qualifications/Courses/Studies Background

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, Engineering, or other related discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.20/4.00 from a recognised university;
  2. Basic knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and health regulations and practices.
  3. Basic understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures in workplace activities.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  5. Good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
  6. Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn in a dynamic working environment.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Candidate must be a Malaysian citizen and willing to work in Cyberjaya
