Job Description

Role: Inventory Control Executive

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

Job Purpose

This role is critical to ensure proper inventory control, stock reconciliation, and system accuracy. The position supports daily inventory operations, stock monitoring, and coordination with warehouse and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

A. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, orders, returns, and shipments.
  • conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.

B. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and distribute regular inventory reports to management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on inventory data analysis.

C. Coordination and Communication

  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure proper stock handling, storage, and rotation.
  • Communicate inventory status and issues to relevant departments and stakeholders.

D. Process Improvement

  • Identify areas for improvement in inventory control processes and systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory management.

E. Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory documentation and records.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

Key Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience in inventory and warehouse operations in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP system such as SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Occasional travel to warehouses and distribution centers may be required.
