We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager to lead our Inventory Planning & Purchasing team within a healthcare and medical devices setting. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability of critical medical supplies and equipment while optimizing inventory levels and managing procurement operations
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of inventory planners and purchasing officers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop team capabilities through training and professional development initiatives.
Inventory Planning:
- Oversee inventory planning strategies to ensure adequate stock levels across departments and facilities.
- Analyze demand forecasts, usage trends, and business requirements to optimize inventory.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, manage expiry risks, and ensure traceability.
Purchasing & Supplier Management:
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with healthcare and medical devices procurement standards.
Compliance & Collaboration:
- Ensure all inventory and purchasing activities comply with Medical Device Authority or any other relevant authority regulations
- Collaborate with business, finance and operations teams to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
- Support audits and reporting requirements related to inventory, suppliers and procurement.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, healthcare supply chain expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory and purchasing management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within healthcare.
- Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain operations and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in inventory and procurement systems (e.g., SAP)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
