We are seeking a passionate Spares Planning & Inventory Manager to join our dynamic team
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory Strategy & Visibility
- Establish and maintain real-time visibility of spares inventory across ASG, AMM, AUS, and other global locations.
- Define and monitor reorder points, threshold triggers, and safety stock levels to avoid stock shortages and support operational continuity.
Demand Forecasting & Procurement Coordination
- Collaborate with Procurement to manage purchase orders for new spares or replenishment stock, ensuring timely delivery aligned with organizational needs.
- Conduct comprehensive demand and forecast analyses to anticipate material requirements for product rollouts, engineering changes, and expansions.
Cycle Counts & Stock Accuracy
- Develop and implement cycle count programs to verify stock levels, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain high data integrity.
- Review and refine audit processes for continuous improvement in stock accuracy and accountability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of Spares Planners and Inventory Control Specialists, ensuring consistent and accurate stock updates, purchase orders, and cycle counts.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical expertise and support career growth.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify and implement best practices or system enhancements in inventory management to optimize efficiency and reduce cost.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance and forecasting reports, presenting key insights to senior leadership and recommending actions where needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to align spares planning with product rollouts, RMA workflows, and supply chain targets.
- Partner with the Director of Spares & Global Logistics to develop strategic roadmaps for inventory optimization and future expansions.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in inventory management, spares planning, or a similar role within a global manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SAP systems, forecasting tools, and advanced Excel/reporting skills.
- Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive cross-functional collaboration, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying process improvements and implementing best practices in inventory control.
- Detail-Oriented: Commitment to high data integrity, including cycle count accuracy and thorough documentation.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, managing multiple priorities, and responding quickly to operational challenges.
