About The Role
We are looking for an Investment Account Trader to join our team. In this role, you will execute short-term trading strategies in equities and related financial instruments to capture market opportunities and generate consistent trading profits. You will also conduct market analysis, monitor trading performance, and ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
What You Will Be Doing
- Execute intraday and short-term trading strategies in equities and related financial instruments to capture market opportunities and generate consistent trading profits.
- Conduct market analysis using both technical and fundamental approaches to identify potential trading opportunities and support informed trading decisions.
- Continuously monitor market movements, price trends, trading volumes, and liquidity conditions to detect profitable trading setups and execute trades accordingly.
- Stay updated with market news, corporate announcements, economic developments, and regulatory updates that may affect trading strategies and market conditions.
- Strictly adhere to the company's trading limits, risk parameters, and capital allocation guidelines, including position sizing, stop-loss discipline, and exposure limits.
- Manage trading positions responsibly to minimize potential losses and protect trading capital while maintaining disciplined risk management practices.
- Track daily trading performance and maintain accurate trading records, including trade rationale, execution details, and profit or loss outcomes.
- Perform regular reviews of trading performance and strategies to refine trading approaches, identify profitable setups, and eliminate underperforming strategies to improve consistency and profitability.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with Bursa Malaysia regulations, internal policies, and the company's compliance and governance requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of trading strategies, trading data, and other company-sensitive information.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in equities or intraday trading is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of equity markets and trading strategies using technical and fundamental analysis.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Understanding of risk management and capital allocation principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including compliance with Bursa Malaysia.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to maintain accurate trading records.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of trading strategies and company information.
