Role Overview

The Investment Analyst will be an integral part of the investment team, supporting senior investment professionals directly with the evaluation, execution, and monitoring of investments. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to build investment acumen, deepen analytical skills and gain rapid exposure to global private markets.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Due Diligence

  • Assist in the screening and evaluation of private equity funds and co-investments by conducting quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis on fund managers and companies.
  • Analyse fund track records including detailed attribution analysis, investment strategies, and historical performance. For co-investments, analyse financial model and assess value creation plans for the underlying company.
  • Support due diligence efforts, including manager meetings, industry research and market trend analysis.
  • Assist in portfolio construction analysis, assessing diversification, risk, and liquidity profiles.

Investment Execution & Documentation

  • Support the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees.
  • Assist in reviewing legal documents and partnership agreements in collaboration with the legal team.

Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor ongoing performance of existing investments through regular contact with fund managers across meetings, events and conferences.
  • Support the preparation of investor reports, quarterly updates, and ad hoc research requests.
  • Assist in analysing macroeconomic and private market trends that impact portfolio performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
  • Strong abstract thinking. Able to combine quantitative analysis with idea generation in order to formulate investment theses.
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solvingskills. Well organized and structured.
  • Articulate with clear communications skills – both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Financial Modelling and Presentations.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, investment metrics, and private equity terminology.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is a plus.
