Job Responsibilities
- Private Investment Support – to hold a Board observer seat supporting the global Investment team on portfolio companies. Acting as a key liaison with relevant parties to collect and consolidate data for preparation of investor marketing materials.
- Portfolio Analysis – perform regular portfolio analysis to ensure client portfolios are in line with the appropriate risk framework and client requirements.
- Financial Modelling & Valuation Analysis – assist with the maintenance and preparation of financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises (both macro and micro investment analysis). Coordinate actions in line with changes made by the Investment Committee.
- Material Preparation - support on drafting presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue. Conduct data collection and analysis and prepare investment committee materials.
- Support in private M&A transactions across all work streams (e.g. due diligence and liaising with relevant counterparts/other advisers).
- Project Management – drive operational improvements and support on subsequent deployment across the Firm. Handle related enquiries and liaise with the wider team.
- All other ad-hoc duties as part of providing investment support to the wider global team.
Skills and Requirements
- Degree holder, preferably in Business or Finance from a reputable establishment.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years professional experience (excluding internships etc); financial services industry a must.
- Proficient in building pitch decks and other presentation materials.
- Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisors.
- High proficiency in financial analysis.
- First class numerical and analytical skills, with very good attention to detail.
- High degree of emotional intelligence alongside exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable in a client-facing role.
- Superb English, proof-reading skills, exceptional attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial drive, as well as commercial awareness and acumen
- Proactivity: can multi-task, plan, prioritise and organise. Able to juggle a varied workload, meet deadlines, and plan ahead. Adaptable to change.
- Confidence in working across time zones.
- Desire to work in a collegiate and dynamic team, to be a true team player with a roll up your sleeves attitude. Collaborative with a can-do mindset.
