Responsibilities
- Liaise with Front-Office Users and Vendors
- Act as the primary point of contact for front-office investment business users to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet business needs.
- Manage Project and Change Delivery
- Lead the execution of projects and change requests for trading, portfolio management, and investment data platforms, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes within budget.
- Implement robust project management practices, including risk management and regular progress reporting.
- Oversee Collaboration with Offshore Development Teams
- Manage and coordinate offshore teams to deliver development and technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Monitor and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during development.
- Drive Technological Innovation
- Leverage cloud technologies and investment platforms to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
- Support the integration of BlackRock Aladdin and other relevant technologies to enhance front-office operations.
- Ensure Compliance and Process Optimization
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
- Continuously review and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in investment management or financial services, with a focus on front-office operations
- Proven experience in projects involving trading, portfolio management, or investment data platforms.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, JavaScript, SQL, data analysis, and web technologies
- Hands-on experience with data integration, system development life cycles (SDLC), and delivery management methodologies
- Experience with data analytics and handling large-scale data sets is a plus
- Strong understanding of investment management processes and front-office systems.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Persuasive communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising across business users, vendors, and technical teams
- Experience with BlackRock Aladdin-related projects is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and their application in financial systems is an advantage
- Investment-related certifications such as CFA or cloud related certifications are an advantage
