Role Description The Investment Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The individual will support the end-to-end investment process, including sourcing potential deals, conducting market and company research, preparing investment memos, and assisting in valuation and financial modeling. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing due diligence on target companies, analyzing financial performance and business models, and contributing to investment recommendations. The Investment Associate will collaborate with senior team members on portfolio monitoring, preparing performance reports, and supporting value-creation initiatives for investee companies. The role also involves maintaining industry networks, tracking market trends, and contributing to internal process improvement and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to support sound investment decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including scenario analysis and cash flow forecasting.
  • Solid foundation in finance and investments, with familiarity in venture capital, private equity, or corporate finance concepts.
  • Experience or training in due diligence, including assessment of management teams, markets, operations, and legal/financial risks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear investment memos and present findings to stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, build professional relationships, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
