Job Description
Industrial Relations Advisory
- Provide expert advice on industrial relations matters, including employment legislation, legal compliance, and employee relations issues.
- Recommend practical solutions and guide management on disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and implementation to minimize legal and business risks.
Case Management
- Manage end-to-end employee misconduct, disciplinary, and grievance cases, including workplace investigations and the preparation of investigation reports.
- Advise on appropriate disciplinary actions and draft employment-related documents such as show cause, warning, suspension, termination letters, and settlement agreements.
Domestic Inquiry Support
- Plan and coordinate domestic inquiries, including reviewing investigation evidence and preparing all required inquiry documents.
- Act as an inquiry facilitator or advisor while drafting inquiry reports and providing recommendations based on the findings.
Employment Law Advisory
- Provide advice on all IR related cases such as misconduct, sexual harassment, retrenchment and etc by following the law.
Dispute Resolution
- Provide strategic advice to clients to resolve workplace disputes before they escalate, supporting mediation and conciliation efforts.
- Prepare documentation for labor authorities or industrial tribunals, coordinate with legal counsel, and assist in settlement negotiations where litigation is required.
Client Consulting
- Conduct client meetings to understand business challenges and develop customized industrial relations (IR) solutions.
- Build long-term client relationships by providing strategic workforce advice tailored to clients needs.
Business Development
- Identify consulting opportunities and support proposal development by presenting tailored solutions that address clients business needs.
- Build strong networks with HR professionals and contribute to the development and enhancement of consulting services
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration, or any related discipline
- 3–8 years in Industrial Relations, Employment Law, HR Consulting, or Employee Relations.
- Well verse in Malaysia Employment Law and other related law.
- Experience handling disciplinary investigations, domestic inquiries, labor disputes, and employment advisory.
- Experience in consulting or advising multiple clients is an advantage.
