Overview:
Responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle, system maintenance, and production support forCredit Card system (ASCCEND). The core responsibility involves ensuring the seamless operation of these applications and their various interface systems. This includes leading incident management and troubleshooting efforts by following established SOPs to resolve production issues efficiently.
Beyond day-to-day support, the position is deeply involved in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Key tasks include conducting feasibility studies, performing detailed user requirement analysis, and designing technical solutions that align with business needs. The role acts as a vital bridge between stakeholders, coordinating with the PMO, SMEs, and end-users to translate complex requirements into functional specifications.
Furthermore, the role demands strong organizational skills to plan and control resources for application development. By combining technical development with strategic implementation, the position ensures that business applications remain robust, scalable, and well-supported within the production environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, and implement technical solutions for the ASCCEND card system and its related interfaces using standard SDLC/ASDM methodologies.
Participate in user requirement gathering sessions and feasibility studies, providing technical insights to facilitate business solution proposals and drafting technical specifications.
Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and manage smooth production roll-out and deployment tasks.
Provide daily system support to business users, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and scheduled system maintenance activities.
Analyze online and batch processing performance and recommend effective production fixes and tuning measures.
Ensure all applications, development methodologies, and documentations adhere to internal standards (Audit & Risk) and external regulations (Visa, Mastercard, UPI, Paynet, and PCI-DSS).
To ensures stability, security and reliability of technical deliverables.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in Credit Card-related application systems.
Working experience with similar apps support is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system diagnostic skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with business users and technical teams.
Special Skills
Skilled in the IBM i-Series (AS/400) environment for both Online and Batch processing, including CLP, WRKQRY, and COBOL.
Experience in Credit/Debit Card processing, Security Device Drivers (HSM), TCP/IP network drivers, Visa/MC/UPI standards, and merchant-related systems.
