Responsibilities:
An IT Application Support is responsible for providing first-line support for assigned applications and systems to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations. The role acts as the initial point of contact for system-related issues, logging and categorizing incidents, performing basic troubleshooting, and escalating unresolved issues to Level 2 or vendors when necessary. The position also supports system testing, documentation, and user guidance to maintain application stability and service quality.
- Day-to-Day Functional / Application Support (90%)
- Act as the Level 1 Application Support for applications such as Demand & Supply Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transport Management System (TMS)
- Support in building knowledge base with Level 1: Servicedesk.
- Provide training to end users and Level 1: Servicedesk.
- Involve in working and communicating to Vendor whenever a problem could not be resolved locally.
- Support local application development and support across the product supply, supply chain and commercial processes
- Support business in building Business Continuity Plan.
- Support business Day to Day operation that related to the IT solutions implemented. End to end Supply Chain processes covering the stream from order processing, order fulfilment and logistics and all the way to billing management.
- Project Based / Change Management (10%)
- Assist in documenting business requirements and meeting notes during workshops or discussions with users.
- Support preparation and maintenance of functional documentation, user guides, and process flow materials.
- Participate in system testing activities (SIT/UAT), including test case execution, result documentation, and issue logging.
- Assist in coordinating with internal teams and vendors by tracking issues and following up on resolution status.
- Support system change implementation activities, including user communication and basic end-user guidance.
- Monitor post-go-live issues and escalate incidents to Level 2 or relevant teams when necessary.
- Log, categorize, and track application support incidents to ensure timely resolution in accordance with SLA.
- Identify recurring issues and report findings to senior team members for further analysis and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree in the related job field.
- Those with 2 to 4 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in application or process / transactional management tool such as Production, Warehousing and inventory management, Purchasing and procurement.
- Experience of analyzing and breaking down problems and information using a structured approach
- Experience in Oracle EBS, WMS, MES, Planning tools and AS/RS technologies will be an added advantage
- Relational Database Management (i.e. Oracle SQL, PL/SQL Server, MySQL) will be an added advantage
- Ability to work in an international environment across multiple business needs
- Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple activities, quickly shifting from one situation or task to another
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
- Capable of transferring knowledge to existing business and IT staff
