Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring that all employees have access to the necessary tools and resources to stay productive. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support for employees on hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other office equipment. Ensure all software is up to date and properly licensed.
  • Network & Security Support: Assist with network configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring. Support cybersecurity initiatives to ensure the security of company data.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop computers, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT-related devices.
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions for internal systems and cloud-based applications.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of support tickets, resolutions, documentations and system configurations. Contribute to the creation of IT manuals and user guides.
  • System Backup & Recovery: Assist with regular system backups and ensure data is recoverable in case of failure.
  • IT Equipment Inventory: Track and maintain an inventory of all IT equipment, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Collaboration: Work with other teams and departments to identify technology needs and provide efficient solutions. Collaborate with third-party vendors for hardware/software procurement and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of IT support experience, with a focus on desktop support, network troubleshooting, and system administration.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with common office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams etc.).
  • Experience with network configurations (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN, Routing etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of IT security principles (firewalls, encryption, antivirus, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS services. Knowledge in Office 365, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure etc. is a plus
  • Experience in managing a Server. Knowing how to manipulate database and understanding of SQL language.
  • Knowledge of remote troubleshooting tools.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest technology trends and tools.

Additional favourable experience:

  • Software development: Ability to development or code applications from scratch with assistance from AI tools.
  • Excel Macro: Ability to code using Excel built-in VBS macro coding.
  • Website designing: Experience in website designing in both front end and back end, while integrating external database.
