Plan, implement, configure, monitor, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, switches, firewalls, and related network equipment.
Provide day-to-day operational support to ensure network connectivity, performance, availability, and reliability across all office locations, data centres, and cloud environments.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, outages, connectivity problems, and security-related incidents in a timely manner to minimize business disruption.
Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), VPN access, network segmentation, intrusion prevention measures, and secure network configurations in accordance with company policies and security standards.
Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, device health, system logs, and availability, and perform optimization activities to ensure stable and efficient network operations.
Perform network configuration changes, backups, and maintenance activities in accordance with approved change management procedures and documentation requirements.
Liaise with internet service providers, network vendors, system integrators, and support partners for service provisioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and warranty claims.
Support IT infrastructure projects, including firewall implementation, wireless deployments, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity initiatives, and system migration activities.
Support network-related backup, redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery arrangements to ensure business continuity and the resilience of critical IT services.
Provide technical assistance to users, IT team members, and business units regarding network-related requests, remote access issues, and system access matters.
Evaluate new network technologies, tools, services, and solutions to improve network reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Perform any other IT infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, or technical duties as assigned by the Head of Department, Manager, or immediate superior from time to time.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or a related field.
Possess sound knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and related network components.
Strong understanding of network communication concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
Hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
Familiarity with network security concepts, including firewall policies, access control, network segmentation, endpoint connectivity, intrusion prevention, and secure remote access.
Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues, performance problems, bandwidth utilization, outages, and related infrastructure incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Good documentation skills, including the ability to maintain network diagrams, IP address records, configuration records, incident reports, and standard operating procedures.
Possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail in managing network operations and technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate with internal teams, and support end users when required.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent networking/security certifications will be an added advantage.
