Job Summary
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering critical IT infrastructure initiatives within a regulated banking environment. The role covers data centre, network, servers, cloud, cybersecurity, and DR/BCP projects, ensuring operational resilience, security, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Control
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with bank governance, SDLC, and change management processes.
Infrastructure Scope
- Manage projects involving:
- Data centre build, migration, and consolidation
- Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP)
- Servers, virtualization, and storage platforms
- Network and security infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, LAN/WAN)
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, private cloud)
Risk, Security & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate infrastructure, security, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and standards (e.g. BNM, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reviews.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Engage and manage business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Manage vendor performance, contracts, deliverables, and SLAs.
- Provide regular project status, risk, and financial updates to senior management.
Testing, Migration & Cutover
- Plan and manage infrastructure testing, migration, and production cutover.
- Coordinate change management to minimize service disruption.
- Ensure smooth handover to operations and support teams.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical & Domain Skills
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies:
- Data centre, servers, storage, virtualization
- Network and security infrastructure
- Cloud and hybrid platforms
- Proven experience in banking or financial services IT projects
- Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, and change management
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models
Tools & Technologies
- Project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Clarity, Smartsheet)
- Infrastructure and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred)
- Reporting and documentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
Certifications (Preferred)
- PMP or PRINCE2
- ITIL v3 / v4
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM advantage)
