Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate and manage project resources, including internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or changes.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops as needed.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage project risks, including addressing issues that arise and ensuring that project goals are achieved.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and adhere to best practices.
- Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to ensure project objectives are being met.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and within approved limits.
- Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet project demands.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and infrastructure management.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects, including experience with server, network, data center, and cloud technologies.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for IT infrastructure.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices.
- Experience with specific technologies or platforms relevant to the organization's infrastructure needs (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Solaris).
