IT Infrastructure Specialist (Level 2)
Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor (Parking Provided)
Job Type: 12-Months & Extendable Contract with Quess Global seconded to the client (Extendibility depends on Individual performance and Project availability)
Work Mode: Work from Office 5 days per week
Schedule: Normal Working Hours (8 AM- 5 PM/ 9 AM- 6 PM)
Work Experience: L2 Level (3-6 Years)
About the role:
- As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be managing operation of complex IT infrastructure with Data Center Operations, Cloud & Virtualization technologies, Database, Storages and Backup Systems.
- You will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining governance practices that enhance the security, efficiency, reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure, enabling seamless operations, and supporting growth.
- This role also requires you to support project teams to understand requirements and developing detail plan and implement Infrastructure services to meet project needs.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of various IT Infra Projects and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with Information Security, Application DevOps and other Infrastructure architect peers on overall roadmap and priorities for new projects and operation requirements.
- Ascertain infrastructure services are secured, protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, ideally to accredited standards (e.g. ISO 27001 or PCIDSS).
- Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders for incident management and problem management.
Your Merits:
- Degree / professional qualification in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience operation experience and implementing global data center solutions where trust and security are an integral part of the culture
- Technical experience or knowledge on Complex IT infrastructure with different Hypervisor and containerization platforms.
- Good knowledge on other IT domains such as Data Center, Database, Middleware, Security and Asset Management.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix (preferably RHEL, Solaris) administration OR Windows administration
- Knowledge of storage solutions (Ceph, SAN, NFS) and backup system.
- Knowledge on Openstack or Openshift or VMware.
