Your Role
The RPA IT Lead is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and delivery of end-to-end automation solutions across business functions such as Sales, Finance, and SAP-based processes. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient RPA implementations aligned with enterprise standards.
Typical Day
Business Process Understanding
- Gain understanding of business manual processes across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other SAP modules.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Translate business requirements into technical RPA solutions and architecture designs.
- Define RPA solution architecture, including bot design, orchestration, exception handling, logging, and scalability.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
Technical Leadership & Guidance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to RPA developers and engineers.
- Review solution designs, code, and automation workflows to ensure best practices and reusability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to RPA platforms, integrations, and infrastructure.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Infrastructure, Application, Security, and Business teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of RPA solutions.
- Act as a single point of contact for technical discussions and dependency management.
- Support production deployments, upgrades, and platform enhancements.
Governance & Delivery
- Establish and enforce RPA development standards, frameworks, and governance models.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, change management, and release processes.
- Monitor bot performance, stability, and operational KPIs.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the RPA team.
- Act as a strong team player while taking ownership of delivery and outcomes.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computers / IT or other relevant disciplines with
- Tools knowledge- Robotics Process Automation tools, viz. Blue PRISM, UiPath, or other similar platforms.
- A certified Blue Prism developer is ideal
- A minimum of 10+ years with relevant 6+ years of experience is necessary in RPA.
- Programming experience is helpful.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure, including servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, etc.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Amazon Web Services (EC2/EBS), Microsoft Azure Infrastructure, and VMware vCloud Director/VMware vSphere.
- Good understanding of Enterprise data models, Database technologies, and cloud computing.
- Project Coordination/Project Management Skills.
- Good understanding of various SDLC models/testing methodologies.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesising skills.
- Thirst to learn and become a leading expert in Robotic Process Automation and new generation technologies.
- Enthusiastic and unprompted attitude for implementing and developing new operations.
- Experience with SAP automation preferred
