We are actively supporting a leading international energy company with a diversified portfolio across conventional and renewable energy, who is looking to hire an IT manager to join their growing team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Primary Focus
Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, you'll oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of management of the enterprise applications (SAP and non-SAP systems), ensuring stability, performance, security, and reliability, by coordinating enhancements, fixes and integrations.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, acting as the primary IT owner.
- Manage SAP systems and key modules such as ECC6, S/4HANA, FICO CORE and MM/PS/SD/PM/JVA.
- Manage non-SAP applications such as finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and workflow/document management systems to ensure seamless integration across all systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, system gaps and automation opportunities to improve end-to-end business processes.
- Lead application-related projects, such as rollouts, upgrades, migrations and manage change through established governance processes.
- Manage vendor relationships and review SLA performance, service quality and cost efficiency
- Ensure governance, risk, and compliance standards are met across all applications, supporting external and internal audits.
- Lead and develop application support analysts and functional leads.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 8–10 years of IT experience in enterprise application environments, with 4–5 years in an application management or leadership role.
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP FICO is mandatory; MM/PS/PM/JVA experience is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of SAP authorization, transports, and system landscapes (DEV/QAS/PRD); S/4HANA cloud exposure a plus.
- Proven track record managing both SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Experience managing vendor and AMS relationships.
- Comfortable operating in a regulated, multi-entity, multi-country environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
