About the Role
We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer to support and improve engineering workplace operations across AirAsia MOVE. This role will focus on employee laptop and asset management, Slack and productivity tooling administration, Jira/Confluence support, and engineering workflow automation.
This role goes beyond traditional IT support. We are looking for someone who can combine strong operational ownership with an automation mindset to improve internal engineering productivity and reduce manual operational work.
As AirAsia MOVE continues evolving its engineering platform and operational tooling, this role will play a key part in supporting engineering teams and enabling scalable internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace & Endpoint Management
Manage laptop provisioning, setup, lifecycle, and troubleshooting for engineering teams.
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
Maintain device inventory and asset tracking.
Ensure proper software setup and compliance for engineering environments.
Productivity & Collaboration Tooling
Administer Slack workspaces, channels, user access, permissions, and integrations.
Support Google Workspace administration and user lifecycle management.
Support Jira and Confluence administration, including permissions, workflows, and user management.
Assist with Atlassian administration as AirAsia MOVE evolves into independent tooling.
Engineering Operations Support
Support engineering teams with access requests and internal tooling setup.
Help manage internal workflows across Jira Service Management (JSM).
Partner with Platform/SRE teams to streamline engineering operations.
Automation & Process Improvement
Automate onboarding/offboarding workflows where possible.
Improve repetitive operational processes through scripting and workflow automation.
Build lightweight automations and integrations between systems such as Slack, Jira, Google Workspace, and internal tools.
Contribute to reducing manual operational toil across engineering teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
2-3 years experience in IT Operations, Workplace Technology, Internal IT, or Engineering Operations.
Experience managing laptops, user lifecycle, and workplace tools.
Hands-on experience with Slack administration.
Experience with Jira and Confluence administration/support.
Experience with Google Workspace or identity/access management.
Strong troubleshooting and operational mindset.
Good stakeholder communication and ownership.
Nice to Have
Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make, Atlassian Automation).
Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, APIs).
Experience automating onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Familiarity with SSO, IAM, or access governance.
Experience supporting engineering/product organizations.
