Job Description: Product Owner (Banking Industry)
1. Core Job Value
As the core leader of the end-to-end agile squad, build the bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, lead the full lifecycle management of bank digital products, and deliver high-quality financial solutions that meet business goals and regulatory requirements through efficient cross-team collaboration.
2. Core Job Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Delivery Management: Lead software engineers and test engineers in the end-to-end agile squad, formulate iteration plans, clarify delivery goals, ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of product increments, and be directly responsible for team output and product value.
2. Requirement Conversion & Management: Deeply understand bank business objectives, accurately convert complex business requirements into technically executable user stories, complete bidirectional translation between business language and technical language (e.g., Java-related development logic), and ensure no deviation in requirement transmission.
3. Cross-Team Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate closely with the enabling team (UI/UX designers, Change and Release Management team, PMO), coordinate design implementation, change control, project progress tracking and other links to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery processes.
4. Product Lifecycle Control: Define product vision and roadmap, manage the product backlog and prioritize it by business value, lead requirement reviews, iteration reviews and retrospectives, and continuously optimize product experience and delivery efficiency.
5. Risk & Compliance Control: Strictly follow the bank's regulatory framework, integrate risk control measures into the entire product design and delivery process, and ensure products comply with industry compliance requirements and enterprise standards.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
. Industry Experience: Over 5 years of experience in digital product delivery in the banking industry, with experience in leading end-to-end agile squads, and familiar with core bank business processes (e.g., retail banking, payment and settlement).
. Technical Capabilities: Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java), understand the software development lifecycle and technical architecture, and can independently complete the conversion and evaluation of business requirements to technical solutions.
. Professional Skills: Skilled in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), with capabilities in product backlog management, requirement prioritization and cross-team collaboration; familiar with bank regulatory compliance requirements and possess risk control awareness.
. Comprehensive Abilities: Excellent communication, coordination, decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to effectively balance business value and technical feasibility, and promote efficient cross-departmental collaboration.
