Job Summary:
The IT Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and technical delivery of IT and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) system projects. This includes overseeing the implementation of infrastructure, networking, and ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, public address, BMS, and related installations. The role requires strong coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for IT and ELV systems.
- Design and supervise installation of ELV systems (CCTV, access control, BMS, public address, fire alarm, structured cabling, etc.).
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for ELV installations and integrations.
- Plan, configure, and deploy IT infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, and networks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on project scope and milestones.
- Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and ensure quality of installations.
- Prepare project documentation including method statements, risk assessments, and test reports.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at the project site.
- Provide technical support during and after system deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and ELV system installations.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and other ELV systems.
- Hands-on experience with IT network design and system integration.
- Familiarity with local and international ELV standards and best practices.
- Excellent documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP / PRINCE2 Certification
- CompTIA Network+ / Security+
- ELV manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Hikvision, Dahua)
- Cisco CCNA or similar networking credentials
