IT Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate short-cycle IT initiatives within fast-paced Turnaround (TA) and Shutdown (SD/STO) execution environments in the Oil & Gas sector. This role is responsible for ensuring that all digital platforms, applications, integrations, cybersecurity, data, and infrastructure requirements are met for TA readiness, and that execution and post-TA stabilisation are delivered on time, safely, and with zero disruption to operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and coordination of IT workstreams supporting TA and Shutdown execution cycles
• Ensure digital readiness across all work-applications, integrations, cybersecurity, data, and infrastructure prior to TA events
• Coordinate TA digital readiness, including applications such as SAP PM, Primavera P6, and MCI
• Manage field mobilisation through digital tools and oversee execution-phase issue management
• Drive requirements gathering, process mapping, and vendor, contract, and timeline management
• Manage cutover, release, and environment activities during TA execution
• Coordinate UAT, regression testing, and change and release management activities
• Liaise and coordinate strongly with operations, maintenance, and TA teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure post-TA stabilisation is delivered safely and with zero operational disruption

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT software development or delivery
• Minimum 8 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
• Must have hands-on involvement in a minimum of 2 Oil & Gas Turnaround (TA) events, 1 Shutdown (SD), or STO execution
• Strong understanding of TA-enabling applications: Active Directory, CRIS, IGA, Primavera P6, SAP PM
• Familiarity with TA execution tools and digital workflows: Worklist Progress, Work Control Sheet (WCS), Material Control Sheet, WCS FA, EWR, RTO, HOEM, Flange Torque Management
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, and integrations
• Proficiency in Agile methodology (SCRUM), change and release management
• Strong IT project management fundamentals with proven ability to work in time-boxed, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across operations, maintenance, and TA teams
• Ability to operate within the plant's operational constraints with occasional travel to sites

• Experience with vendor and contract management in O&G environments
• Exposure to post-TA stabilisation and digital environment management
• Familiarity with both Major TA (>6 months) and Small SD/STO (2 months) event scales
