The Role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations, this role is responsible for managing and executing IT security initiatives to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems and information assets across the organisation. This is an individual contributor role that also requires strong teamwork and collaboration across Infrastructure, Applications teams and business stakeholders to secure end-to-end systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining the IT Security strategic plan and engaging relevant stakeholders for inputs.
- Research and propose solutions to current trends in IT Security and risk mitigations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct IT security risk assessments, audits, and security reviews.
- Monitor cybersecurity threats and recommend mitigation and corrective actions.
- Manage IT security operations, incident management, reporting, and resolution activities.
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies including firewalls, encryption, and monitoring solutions.
- Drive security awareness programmes, training, and best practices across the organisation.
- Support governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of IT security controls, systems, and processes.
- Undertake independent risk assessment of internal systems to ensure secure system design, implementation, and operations.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors providing IT security services, ensuring performance, compliance, and delivery standards are met for both Cloud and on prem systems.
- Work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team in securing organisational systems and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT Security / Cybersecurity-related roles.
- Hands on experience with Cloud Security standards and tools preferably in AWS and Google.
- Ability to plan and deliver on IT Security projects
- Experienced in vendor management and coordination of IT Incident across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage IT Security run book with complete ITSM process
- Experience in IT security governance, risk management, compliance, and policy development.
- Has a strong understanding of Ai security governance and Ai Security certifications preferably
- Good understanding of security frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL, and PCI-DSS.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards including PDPA and GDPR.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, CREST, CEH, or CISM are an added advantage.
