Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to manage and optimize our data center and retail network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network operations across HQ and all retail locations, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, update, and implement data centre network operations.
- Provide routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall support for HQ and retail stores.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, firewall, and general connectivity issues for staff.
- Plan and implement network changes and scheduled maintenance (patches/updates).
- Resolve network authentication and performance issues.
- Plan, procure, and implement connectivity for new retail stores.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
- Support VoIP deployment across retail stores.
- Manage configuration and deployment during hardware replacement or failures.
- Provide out-of-hours escalation support for emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Cisco: Core network (ACI, Catalyst 9K, Nexus), L2/L3 switching, routing (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP).
- Meraki: Edge network & Wi-Fi (MX200/250/400 VPN, switch stack management).
- Aruba: Authentication (ClearPass).
- F5: Load balancing.
- Checkpoint: HQ and Cloud Firewall (including site-to-site VPN).
- Strong troubleshooting and configuration skills across diverse network devices.
- Deep understanding of major routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and datacentre/WAN interactions.
- Experience in network maintenance, upgrades, and security configurations.
- Design-level understanding of datacentre topology.
- Proven ability to deliver to SLAs and deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications: Minimum CCNP (CCIE preferred).
