We are a leading manufacturing company in Pasir Gudang, Johor, committed to excellence in production and operational efficiency. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Assistant Manager to lead our maintenance department and ensure smooth operations across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 15 staff, including facilities technicians, chargemen, and maintenance engineers.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all plant equipment and facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate with other departments to support production needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, reports, and performance metrics.
- Act as the primary liaison for Japanese-speaking stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and facility management.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Japanese language (spoken and written) is mandatory.
