Job Description

Responsibilities:

Understand the design and applications of what is being developed. Break large problems into smaller tasks.
Build reusable code, libraries, and plugins.
Write and maintain code.
Modify code for clarity or to better suit changing requirements (Refactoring) and identify and solve bugs.
Optimize components for maximum speed and scalability.
Debug and maintain code and integrations.
Provide estimates on how long tasks will take.
Make minor design decisions without supervision.
Work in a small agile development squad and collaborate with other team members and QC engineers.
Stay up to date on the latest coding strategies, best practices, trending methodologies, troubleshooting, and tactical technologies useful to our environment.

Requirements/Skills:

Working knowledge of Java and Spring Framework is a must, with a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in software development within an Agile environment.
Lifecycle management of source code quality via static and dynamic analysis tools, e.g. SonarQube.
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
Experience with software development cycles.
Experience with test-driven development.
Good understanding of software design patterns.
Source control tools (Git, Subversion).
Unit testing tools (JUnit, TestNG).
Build Automation (Maven, Jenkins).
Integration technologies like REST.
Intermediate knowledge of English (Speaking, writing, and reading).
