Overview

The Java Developer is responsible for application maintenance, development, implementation and support for Java applications and all the related interfaces with downstream systems. This role reports to the Java Developer Team Lead.

Candidates who wish to apply their technical knowledge and further their experience within the banking industry are invited to apply for this role.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in user requirement study/analysis and systems design.

• Plan, coordinate and executeapplications development, implementation and production support activities.

• Assistusers in understanding& interpreting user requirements, coordinating with relevant parties in business specifications gathering & documentation and liaising with other SME teams in technical solution development.

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology

Experience & Skillset

• More than 2 years of experience in software development

• Experience developing applications using components with Java (J2EE).

• Experience working and administering with WebSphere applications in Unix (AIX)

• Experience with databases like IBMDB2 or Oracle

• Having an exposure in financial institution industry will be an advantage
