Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business requirements and functional specifications.
• Evaluate, study, and provide constructive feedback on solution designs.
• Develop high-quality solutions following established standards and best practices.
• Provide detailed development effort estimations.
• Perform non-functional testing to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Review designs and code contributed by team members.
• Prepare technical documentation covering design, implementation, and deployment.
• Support functional and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide production support by analyzing and resolving application issues.
• Identify project risks and execute mitigation plans.
• Lead daily scrum meetings and oversee team progress.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong skills in solution design, applying design patterns and avoiding anti-patterns.
• Proficiency in:
• Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring MVC/Struts, JavaScript, JQuery
• Relational Databases: MS SQL Server
• NoSQL Databases: MongoDB, Redis
• Build tools: Maven/Ant
• UML, JMS/WebSphere MQ
• RESTful Web Services
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins
• Version control: SVN/Git
• Issue tracking: Jira/QC
• UNIX/Linux shell scripting
• Messaging services: Kafka, RabbitMQ, AMQ
• Application servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss
• Authentication frameworks: OAuth 2.0, JWT
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Added advantage: Experience in the financial services domain.
