Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to join our innovative development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that support our applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
- Implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in backend development and cloud computing.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Document system architecture, APIs, and deployment processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in Java development with Spring Boot framework.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of serverless computing on AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
