About the Role
We are looking for a Java Spring Boot / API Support Engineer to join our application maintenance and production support team. The role involves supporting Java-based applications, microservices and API services in a production environment.
Candidates with either strong Java Spring Boot/Microservices experience OR API Gateway/API Management experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application maintenance and production support for Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
- Develop, maintain and support Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Support API Gateway and API Management platforms and related integrations.
- Monitor API/application performance and resolve production incidents.
- Work in Unix/Linux environments for application troubleshooting and support.
- Perform application deployment, configuration and maintenance activities.
- Work with Oracle databases and perform basic database/SQL troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and business teams to resolve technical issues.
- Follow incident, problem and change management processes.
- Prepare technical documentation and support production releases.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in Java/Application Support/Software Engineering.
- Experience in Java Spring Boot and Microservices OR API Gateway/API Management.
- Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
- Experience working with REST APIs/API integrations.
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c/19c or equivalent database technologies.
- Good troubleshooting and production support skills.
API Gateway / API Management Experience
Experience with any of the following is an advantage:
- Axway API Manager / API Gateway
- Apigee
- Kong
- CA Layer 7 / Broadcom
- Other API Management or API Gateway platforms
