Java Technical Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate AVP - Java Full Stack to join our Global Markets IT team in Bengaluru . As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and install software solutions to support our capital markets platforms. You will be responsible for building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, and providing technical guidance to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Engineer solutions for complex problems involving capital markets platforms
• Hands-on full-stack development (UI, Middleware, Services/API, Backend (SQL))
• Architect highly performant applications/modules using appropriate frameworks/tools
• Deliver robust and scalable solutions rapidly in an agile way
• Ensure usage of appropriate practices to ensure high quality and data security protocols
• Provide 3rd line support, working with the Application production support team
• Manage day-to-day tasks and be accountable for deliveries from offshore
• Collaborate with Onshore and Offshore teams

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related area (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent)
• 12-15 years of hands-on experience in Java full-stack development in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of Java (preferably Java 21), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, RxJS, Typescript, and JavaScript
• Understanding of data security protocols and controls
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Ability to operate autonomously without supervision and make decisive decisions
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Good to Have Skills and Experience

• Experience with Jenkins, DevOps pipeline, and agile methodologies
• Knowledge of basic algorithms and ability to estimate execution complexity
• Experience with industry-standard products and market-leading IT applications
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture
• Certification in Java or related technologies
• Experience working in a multi-location IT team and collaborating with global teams
