Journal Academic Editor

We are seeking a Journal Academic Editor to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

•        Review manuscripts for academic quality and assess whether they align with the journal's aims and scope, publishing ethics, and relevant standards.

•        Participate in the manuscript review process, including reviewer selection, review progress tracking, and evaluation of review comments.

•        Maintain relationships with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and academic collaborators, and support manuscript commissioning.

•        Explore new channels for manuscript commissioning to improve solicitation efficiency and manuscript quality.

•        Participate in international publishing conferences and academic exchange activities, assisting in improving the journal's quality standards and policy framework.

Requirements:

•        PhD in life sciences, medical and health sciences, materials science, social sciences, or a related discipline.

•        In-depth understanding of peer review and academic publishing standards.

•        Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).

•        Proficient in Microsoft Office and common academic publishing and manuscript processing tools.

•        Prior experience in journal editing, peer review, academic publishing, or editorial board work is preferred.

•        Possess strong communication skills and the ability to execute tasks efficiently and decisively.
