Go Mex Growth Sdn Bhd was founded in 2025, specialising in physical and paper trading of precious metals. Backed by decades of industry expertise, we provide comprehensive solutions including trading, financing, customised products, digital platforms, storage, and assay services to a range of institutional and non-institutional clients.

Summary of Role

The Junior Accounts Executive is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial and accounting functions of the bullion trading house. This role involves handling basic bookkeeping, processing invoices, preparing reconciliations, and supporting the Senior Accounts Executive and Finance Manager. The Junior Accounts Executive ensures accuracy in financial records, supports settlement and treasury activities, and helps maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record daily transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and settlements into the accounting system.
  • Assist in maintaing the general ledger with accurate journal entries.
  • Process vendor invoices, employee claims, and other payables in accordance with approval processes.
  • Support finance team with the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet schedules.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

  • Assist in verifying supplier invoices for accuracy and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and liaise with banks for payment processing.
  • Record and track customer receipts and prepare reports for outstanding receivables.
  • Support follow-up with clients on overdue accounts in coordination with Senior Accounts Executives.

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform basic reconciliations of bank statements with accounting records.
  • Support reconciliation of bullion accounts, vaulting fees, and settlement charges.

Treasury & Settlement Support

  • Assist Treasury team in preparing daily cash flow summaries.
  • Support trade settlement recording into accounting system.
  • Ensure funding requests and settlement postings are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Track petty cash and prepare monthly petty cash statements.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure documentation is properly filed and easily retrievable for audit purposes.
  • Support the Finance team during internal and external audits by preparing schedules and reports.
  • Ensure financial entries comply with internal controls and company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining audit trails for all acconting transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor&aposs Degree in Accounting and Finance. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA) in progress is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles (MFRS/IFRS)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Familiarity in Accounting Softwares (SQL, SAP) is an advantage.
  • Awareness of commodities/precious metals knowledge is an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts
  • Spoken and Written Language (English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia)
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Willingness to learn and participate is essential for the role.
