Job Description

Responsibilities

- Develop, update, and maintain plantation maps (land use, crop distribution, infrastructure, boundaries).
- Perform spatial analysis to support land development, crop planning, and yield estimation.
- Manage and organize GIS databases, including satellite imagery, drone data, and field data.
- Assist in monitoring plantation performance using GIS tools (e.g., crop health, land utilization).
- Generate maps and reports for management and operational use.
- Support site teams with GPS data collection, ground-truthing, and field verification.
- Integrate GIS data with other systems (e.g., farm management, reporting tools).
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation.
- Collaborate closely with agronomy and plantation teams for data-driven decision-making.
- Provide technical support and basic training to users on GIS-related matters.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geospatial Science, Agriculture, or related field.
- 2-4 years of working experience in GIS (preferably in agriculture/plantation).
- Proficient in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Familiar with GPS tools, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis.
- Experience with drone mapping and satellite imagery is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
- Ability to work independently and support field operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
