Nelson Miller Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Buyer to support our Asia Supply Chain operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, from purchase order creation through delivery and receipt, ensuring materials are procured, tracked, and delivered on time to support business and production requirements.

Working closely with suppliers, the U.S.-based Nelson Miller Group team, Asia Supply Chain colleagues, and manufacturing partners, the Junior Buyer plays a critical role in maintaining supply continuity, monitoring supplier performance, and driving timely resolution of purchasing and delivery issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, release, and maintain purchase orders within the Epicor ERP system.
  • Review and obtain supplier purchase order acknowledgments, confirmations, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure purchasing data, including pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules, is accurate and up to date within the ERP system.
  • Manage assigned purchase orders throughout their lifecycle, from RFQ and order placement through shipment, delivery, and receipt.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively identify potential shortages, delays, or past-due orders.
  • Follow up regularly with suppliers to confirm production status, delivery schedules, and shipment readiness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure on-time fulfillment of purchase orders.
  • Escalate material shortages, delivery risks, or supplier performance issues before they impact production or customer commitments.
  • Serve as a key communication link between suppliers, Asia manufacturing partners, the Asia Supply Chain team, and the U.S. Nelson Miller Group organization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying purchasing process inefficiencies and helping implement solutions that improve PO management, supplier responsiveness, and delivery performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related function.
  • Experience creating and maintaining purchase orders within an ERP system; Epicor experience is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working directly with suppliers and building effective working relationships.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency in managing purchasing commitments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, drive resolution, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Flexible and willing to occasionally support meetings or activities outside normal business hours to coordinate with U.S. teams, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
