Role Description

  • To perform materials planning functions:
  • To procure the right parts/quantities with the required quality, on time to minimize production loss hours/obsolescence and to meet the Master Production Schedule.
  • To plan and calculate when the purchase order must be made in order to meet production required date.
  • To forward projection of orders to vendors in order to reduce lead time and production costs by maintaining stock and minimize the inventory cost of the company.
  • Responsible for selecting and coordinating of vendors from the Approved Vendor List for purchases.
  • To perform daily Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processing:
  • To check availability and confirming of orders with the vendors in respect to price, quality and delivery dates.
  • To manage Purchase Orders to vendors on time.
  • To follow up on outstanding purchase orders and expedite delivery of goods send in JIT (Just In Time).
  • Follow up on rejected (MDR) or wrongly sent parts and ensure punctual return of the parts.
  • Formulating customer and vendor relationship and monitoring on time delivery, quality, pricing etc.
  • Other administrative duties related to purchasing, example issuing and sending of PO, filing etc, and other assigned purchasing duties assigned by superior.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in procurement processes, supplier negotiation, and purchase order management
  • Analytical and organizational skills for monitoring inventory and ensuring timely deliveries
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Basic knowledge of relevant software, tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry is a plus
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
